Over the past month I have been taking photos on and off and working with my camera (more like trying to figure it out). I had a wonderful time on the 4th of July sitting Dockside watching the fireworks display above a bunch of sail boat masts. What a beautiful sight this was indeed! I also captured some pictures of our family dogs. Enjoy!

Ink Review: Diamine Eclipse
Diamine Eclipse
Pen: Lamy Al-Star Fine Point
This is another beautiful "Wet" ink made by Diamine. Very, very dark tones. Pretty boring as far as color goes. I would say that I see a tad bit of dark purple in there. Definitely an ink that can be used in the office. While this ink is probably not as wet as some of the Noodler inks that I have sampled, it is a pretty wet ink for Diamine.
Pro's:
- Writes smooth; wet
- Can be used in an office/professional business setting
- Adds just a hint of character to those office papers.
- Affordable for what you are getting (Can be purchased at Goulet Pen Co. for $12.95)
Con's:
- Pretty boring color
- Not quiet as dark as a black, but it is up there.
- Can bleed through depending on the paper you use.

Ink Review: Diamine Graphite
Diamine Graphite |
Diamine Graphite.
Pen: Lamy Vista Extra-Fine point nib
While some changes are in the works for a better "Mircro" lens for the camera and some higher quality ink review paper, basic copy paper will have to do for now.
Diamine Graphite is a beautiful, beautiful ink! Even from my extra fine Lamy Vista, this ink flows beautifully, almost too wet for my taste. It throws more of a Fine-Medium line while writing.
So let me list off the pro's and con's.
Pro's:
- Gorgeous shading
- Flows pretty wet and almost buttery smooth!
- Can be used in a professional setting
- Has a hint of dark green in it.
- Not horrible expensive (Can be ordered at Goulet Pen Co. for $12.95 for 80ml)
- Minimal to no feedback in the pen I used.
Con's:
- Tends to bleed through much easier, especially if left in one area too long.
- Feathering at times (again depends on the paper you use, but copy paper it feathers BAD)
- Some nib creepage.

Update and Previews
It has been a while since I have written a review/post. My apologies and I want to thank you all for sticking with me. I have already put together a few ink reviews and just need to get the photography work done. Hopefully in the next couple days, if things at home settle down, I can get my reviews posted. I also have a few pen reviews and paper reviews to come as well :)
So thank you for stickin' with me and I look forward to sharing some new reviews in the next couple days.

How to Clean a Lamy Z24 Converter (Via: Peninkcillin)
I wanted to share a post from another fellow fountain pen blogger. She give step by step written (and video) instructions on how to clean a Lamy Z24 converter. When flushing it just is not doing the trick, and you have ink stuck in places that water is not getting to, here is how to take care of that problem! Thank you Peninkcillin for this wonderful and helpful post. I know it sure will help me with my mini Lamy fountain pen collection!
