Special Delivery: Monteverde Touch Screen Stylus Fountain Tool Pen

Yes, oh yes it has arrived! In quiet the speedy manner I might ad. Ordered Sunday, arrived today! Thank you Goulet Pens for your speedy shipping.

Perfection in it's finest form (For a multi purpose tool)
I was so ecstatic today when I checked on the tracking of my new pen just to find out that it was due to be delivered. Went to the mailbox and there it was, waiting.

As you might notice, I chose to go for the silver instead of the black color. I was more worried about scratches from possible rough handling. Knowing that black tends to show scratches easier, I went with the silver.

Holding this pen was a delight. I do not like things that feel light and cheaply made. This pen did not disappoint, that is for sure. Heavy weight feeling, and tough is how I would describe this pen. Should it be dropped, I am not too worried about it breaking or chipping. Well worth the money, in my opinion. The main reason I got this pen was for the Stylus (since I use my tablet a lot and do not have a nice pen/stylus with me). Not only that, but it has several other functions as well!

A screw driver (Phillips and flathead), a bubble level, a ruler, a stylus, and a pen all wrapped into one awesome made tool. Now sadly they did not have a fine nib for this and I had to stick with a medium nib. I tend to like the thinner lines when writing. But it will do for now. I may do some scouting around later on and see if I can get a fine point nib.

When writing in a Moleskine, I did notice that it bled through quiet a bit. But that may have everything to do with the ink? Could also be how I write as well ( I am one of those that adds a bit of weight when writing).  I have yet to try writing in my Paperblanks journal which I do believe has heavier paper than a Moleskine. I am sure it will handle well though.

Overall, I am impressed with this instrument and tend to use it regularly with my Saddleback Leather Notepad Holder.

A New Find: Monteverde One Touch Stylus Tool Fountain Pen

Yes, believe it or not, I have found something else that I could put to really good use. And it uses cartridges, so I am not fussing with loading ink or anything like that. (which I prefer cartridges anyhow). A Fountain pen and stylus all in one (Plus some extra added features like a bubble level, ruler, and a flat head and Phillips screw driver). And for only $40, it seems to be a great deal.

Honestly I do not care for the yellow style that this review says they only make. It appears on Gouletpens.com in black and silver/white. I think if I purchased this, a black one would be in order.

With that being said, for my fellow pen enthusiasts, I would like to bring to your attention that Pen Chalet is running a "Give Away" contest. Visit their page for more information. Photos and Spoils

It has been a rough past three days for me. But I can say that with what has happened, it has helped to make me a stronger person (in some ways I suppose). We recently lost one of our little bottle baby goats. It hit me in a weird way too. I tried all that I knew and could do to save the little thing, but sadly he passed away right in front of me. It is a weird (heart wrenching) thing to watch an animal die, minute by minute, right in front of you...and there is nothing you can do.

On more positive notes....

Yes, yes I did. I finally buckled and got what I have been wanting and eying for quiet some time...but could just pursue financially at the time. A medium Saddleback Leather Notepad holder...in Chestnut. Beautiful item. Pulling it out of the package was a fun experience too! And the smell of leather...yea, bliss. I am already putting his to good use. Maybe in the future I will be able to afford a nice leather bag - you know, something that a mom can carry ALL the things she needs in (journals, pens, tablets, baby clothes, diapers, wipes, makeup, wallet, etc) lol.

Lately, I have been doing a lot of reflecting on my life. Not in a good, or bad way necessarily, but in a constructive sense (more or less). I look at where I am at in my life. There are some things I might consider changing (like whether or not I would rather go back into the work force or continue to be a stay-at-home mom). Where I once was years & years ago mentally, physically, spiritually, and where I have thus ended up today. Today: I have two beautiful boys (for which I am thankful for, even if we never get a little girl I refuse to have acceptance issues like I know some women struggle with), I have a loving, caring, and hard working husband who has helped build this family, and I have a loving, gracious, and merciful God that I serve, who I have built a relationship with over the years. From age 17 to 27, I have taken one hell of a ride in life. A life full of trials, challenges, and successes that has helped shape me into the person I am today.

My passion for journals, pens, and photography (okay, and horses too!) continues to grow. I enjoy the simpler things in life, not necessarily the finer things, but simplicity.... The moments in life with the ones you love, not the things you buy. Those moments where you cherish every living second. Well, with that being said, I would like to share some photos that I have taken in the past weeks and end this post with that.

Don't think he will like Lemons anytime soon, LOL
